This is why it's exciting to manufacturers starting to use this technology in flashlights. How many times have you really needed to use your flashlight, only to find that the batteries are dead or that the bulb is burnt out or broken? Gerber's Infinity Ultra ups the reliability factor with its LED technology that, according to them, will last 100 hours or more on the included AA batteries. This thing is sturdy too-Gerber coats its circuitry with epoxy, which holds everything in place if you drop it or accidentally smack it against a rock.
The company claims that the Infinity Ultra is waterproof down to 10 feet. Not having access to 10 feet of water, I filled up my bathtub and dropped it in there for a minute or so. Sure enough, the flashlight still worked, and without any noticeable lack of brilliance.
Though the Infinity Ultra's beam is very bright for its size, this is not the best flashlight for navigating unlit country roads at night or for exploring abandoned warehouses. It is perfect for camping, however, where its durability, small size, and light weight make it ideal for hauling in a pack and illuminating a tent.
Overall, a great little product from a reliable manufacturer.--Josh Dettweiler

User Reviews about Gerber 22-80012 Infinity Ultra Task LED Flashlight - Black
This flashlight is indestructible, very bright for its size, and works even when the battery is low. Very well-engineered. Expensive, but worth it. -- Great LED flashlight!
Good , small, and handy light for it's size. The build quality is excellent. I have similar sized flashlights with a higher lumen output, but at a higher cost. Overall a good bang for the buck. -- Gerber
While not meant to be used as a search light, this flashlight is perfect for my job. Working on an aircraft during days or nights, this flashlight's brightness suits me perfectly whether it be inspecting aircraft and engines or lighting the way for me to walk at night. The size and portability compliments this product where you can easily put in your pocket without the bulkiness of larger flashlights. An added bonus is the AA battery required. When working overseas, 123 batteries used by some flashlights are hard to come by. AA batteries are much more common, making this buy an excellent one. -- Perfect flashlight for close quarters work
Gives off a good beam and operates on only one AA battery.
Fits in your pocket, or can be attached to a belt loop.
Very handy. A bit pricey. -- Gerber 22
