JanSport Antics Series Mesh Pack
Can you imagine a world without backpacks? Neither can we. Yet it wasn't long ago that they were strictly outdoor gear. One fall in the late sixties, the JanSport team heard that students were using the brand's small cross country daypacks to cross campus instead. It made sense with comfortable padded straps, and easy access front panel opening and catch resistant nylon zippers the bags were just as great for carrying books as they were for carrying gear. Seeing the potential the team made a few notebook worthy design adjustments including the addition of a durable vinyl base to improve weight capacity. Soon after, JanSport began selling the first ever campus backpacks into college bookstores around the country.

User Reviews about JanSport Antics Series Mesh Pack
My daughter needed a mesh back pack for school and we bought the Jansport in scarlet. It is a bit large for my second grader who just turned 7, but not so overwhelming that she can't handle it. It is probably the standard size for an adult back pack.
The mesh is thick and sturdy--unlike others we bought and lasted less than a year before wearing out on the bottom, and it is roomy for books and folders. It has a front pocket in the same mesh material. but it also has a small inside pocket in a solid canvas sort of material that is handy for small items, or pointy pencils that could hurt someone poking out of the mesh pocket.
The straps have plenty of padding for comfort when carrying a full load.
I love Jansport--still have a back pack of theirs that I carried in college (15 years ago) and it is still in perfect condition. I did not hesitate in ordering this back pack and do not regret it--this is a plain, but durable and comfortable pack. -- sturdy and comfortable
It's pretty sturdy. It's kind of too long for a six year old. However, the upside is that everything for summer day camp fits right in. You can toss stuff in without thought. No need to tightly squeeze stuff in and conserve space. Let's face it, 6 year olds do not pack things efficiently. -- good for wet summer swim suits and water shoes
It was better than we expected. That bag would have cost us $50.00 in the store. We got it for $17.00 WOW!
My daughter loves it. -- It was almost brand new
I bought all 3 of my kids one of these backpacks. at first, I wasn't sure about it cuz its mesh and for some reason, I thought only the front pocket was mesh - oh well.
so far so good, its really durable and has held up well. theres not a whole lot of organizing pockets, etc. but it still holds quite a lot.
my kids can stuff their snow gear in here no problem without it bursting to the seams.
so, for me, its good.
note - my kids are 5, 4 and 4 and it still works great for them. -- Great for kids
Purchased this to replace the SECOND mesh backpack my son had destroyed this school year. Am very pleased by the quality of the mesh. Seems quite strong and so far after 2 months had stood up very well to the daily abuse it takes from home to bus to school and back again. Not a ravel or tear in it...far more than I can say for the cheapo ones we went through at the beginning of the year. -- goood quality for the price
